Beyond the Mediterranean, I also offer hand-picked adventures in Southeast Asia, a region I called home for six years. Every trip is built on lived experience and personal research. No algorithms. No AI. No influencers — just someone who actually goes there. We focus on gay and bear travel but welcome everyone! We're not going to leave anyone out!

YOUR TRAVEL HOST
My name is Derrick Fields. I have LIVED, not just visited, LIVED all over the world — leaving the USA in 2008 and settling in Mexico, Honduras, South Korea, China, Thailand, India, Myanmar, Vietnam, Australia, Malaysia, and for the last 12 years, the heart of Madrid. Spain is where my soul landed. I currently split my time between Madrid and Atlanta, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
I started Ursus Travel because travel transformed my life, and I want to share that with others — specifically with our community of gay men and bears. Every itinerary is personal. I design each journey myself, focused on creating safe, welcoming spaces where you can truly belong. Not as a tourist. As someone who belongs there.
